black_top Elena Gibson (UK): In January 2006, Elena founded Pole Dancing School in London and is currently its director, principal dance teacher and choreographer. Amongst other achievements, Elena is the winner of the first world pole dancing championship in 2005. Elena trained professionally in classical ballet from the age of 9 and is the graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada.  Elenaʼs career as a professional dancer began in 1995 when she became a member of the National Ballet of Canada, in 1998. She moved to Europe to join the Bavarian State Bal- let in Munich. In 2000, she became a free-lance solo artist participating in numerous theatre productions as a guest artist in both North America and Europe. As a pole dancer and choreographer, Elena combines the elegance of classical ballet with extreme flexibility and acrobatic pole work, a combination that has won her awards at both national and international level. Performing for 16 years, Elena has over 10 years experience in dance teaching disciplines, and is a certified Ishta yoga instructor (New York).  Elena has been a member of the entertainment trade union Equity since 1995 in Canada and following her move to London, in 2003 she became a member of the British Equity (membership number M00240415). She takes an active role in the Equity Pole Dance Working Party and the Choreographers Committee which meet quarterly at the Equity headquarters in London to discuss issues relevant to the industry. Elena's other qualifications include Level 3 of the Register of Exercise Professionals UK (R0043384), the first officially appointed "Level 3 Pole Dancing Instructor" for the UK, by Pole Dance Community




Simona Nocco (Italy): Simona Nocco is a fitness Manager and at one point, a TV Producer, Project manager and Senior Editor for Italians TV station as Sky, La7, Canale 5. Many years ago, she fell in love with ballet, aerial arts and naturally pole dance. In 2008 she opened Poledancexfit, the 1st pole dancing school in Rome. She has contributed for a significant increase of Pole Dance in Italy. In 2009, she is the founder and president of the Italian Pole Dance Federation - FIPD and organised the 1st Italian Pole Dance Championship in 2010.
